Dr YSR Horticultural University

Dr Y SR Horticultural University is the second horticultural university of India. It is located at Venkataramannagudem, near Tadepalligudem in West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. It was established on 26th June, 2007. The UG and PG educational programmes which were being offered at Rajendranagar, Hyderabad under Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University were also brought into the fold of Andhra Pradesh Horticultural University from 2007-08 academic year onwards. Dr Y SR Horticultural University has several research programmes running at all Research Stations which have been based on eight thrust areas based on the present day need.
